In this video, I'll show you how to take a sketch of your own artwork, and bring it into Inkscape, and convert it to an SVG for the Cricut. This involves tracing over the sketch, converting to curves, & combining the shapes.
After this you can watch the follow-up video, where I'll show you how to convert your single-color SVG into a multi-color SVG:
