Repairing and painting a 9-foot giant Halloween skeleton prop using ink wash and dry brushing techniques to bring out the bone detail.
This video shows how to weather and repaint large plastic skeleton decorations for a realistic look.
The wash settles into the cracks and crevices of the bones while the dry brushing highlights the raised areas, creating depth and texture across the entire skeleton. Once the paint work is complete, I seal everything in with an acrylic clear coat to protect the finish and lock in the weathered bone effect.
