The Tower Shuttle is a customized laser marking machine equipped with YZ axes and designed for robot integration.
The Tower Shuttle's key strength is its interface with the robot that loads and unloads components from the motorized slide. This slide moves the fixture along the Y-axis, guiding it into the cabin while preventing any problems or damage to the machine itself.
When the robot arm positions the differential housing on the dedicated fixture, external part presence sensors detect it, and the integrated motorized system with encoder allows us to move the slide with extreme precision: at this point, the marking cycle can begin.
Inside the cabin, there is a camera positioned next to the scanning head that frames the differential housing and verifies its position before beginning the laser marking.
At the end of the process, the same camera verifies the DataMatrix quality, and the component exits the cabin to be picked up by the robot and inserted into the next station of the cell.
Another key strength of the Tower Shuttle is its customized software, both for robot interfacing and for data exchange with the customer's database and the cataloging of internal production information.
