We get the chance to hike up to the highest point of Pulau Gaya, a 20 minutes boat ride from the mainland of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. This trip was organised by The Sabah Society, the oldest NGO in Sabah. You can check out their social media and don't forget to follow them for more updates.
We start our hike from Base Camp Point and end at Padang Point, both are located at Pulau Gaya. It took us about 3-4 hours, easy hike. Personally, i really enjoy the hike, the surrounding and temperature are a little bit different compare to the hike we normally did on the mainland.
So the next time you come to the island, don't forget to check out the trail up to the highest point of Pulau Gaya while still able to enjoy the breeze and vitamin sea.
