“Falsa Baiana” is one of those Brazilian gems that instantly lights up the room. It’s witty, buoyant, and full of personality both in melody and in lyric.

For this collaboration, José Fernando Seifarth and I wanted to honor the classic spirit of the song while allowing our own musical chemistry to breathe. I was genuinely taken by the arrangement, so relaxed yet confident, with a groove that feels effortless. It made it easy for me to lean into a conversational phrasing, letting the story unfold naturally within that unmistakable Brazilian samba feel.

This project became something truly special. Recorded across continents between Piracicaba, Brazil and Taipei, Taiwan. From performance to production, every detail was shaped with care, warmth, and joy! Aivee Hsu, February, 2026.
