Starting Over With Fallout 76 in 2019

In this video I start fresh in Fallout 76 in 2019 to help some of you decide whether is it time to finally purchase it.

Starting over in Fallout 76
Lots of interest in getting back into the game from people
o Mostly from the DLC
o I wanted to see what it is like to begin a new character today
 So, I made a new character on my main account and went into the world basically roleplaying as a new player
1. People. Are. Ridiculously. Nice. – this characterizes the experience
a. Exaggerated from Fasnacht, but makes it an even better time to start out
b. You’re unique in being new – will expand on later
i. Only a couple people were genuinely new players, most of the lower levels were new accounts or taking the game slowly
c. Extremely easy to make friends…but one big asterisk
i. Not many people doing main story missions
1. Many people have had the game for a while and were farming
2. Willing to explain the game and helpful
ii. Easy to find friends, but most were doing events, farming, or just messing around at camps
d. Tons of free stuff since you’re a low level
i. 160 spoiled meet
ii. Masks
iii. Stimpaks
e. People are positive and looking forward to the future of this game – hopeful
i. Most recognize it had a issue filled launch
2. Bugs are not gone…not even close
a. Some minor: dude half way falls into ground, people stuck on talking, glitched items in world, sloth unlootable
b. Others not so minor – crashing and disconnects
i. Seemingly random with recent updates – one update massive improvement, next massive step backwards
3. You’re in a world of high level players
a. Nukes
i. Lots of end game or otherwise rare things are made available to you now through different means – nukes are pretty easy to find
b. Camps – this is one of the biggest changes, I ran into so many camps while exploring
i. Very large and detailed
c. The players themselves – times when over 50% were above level 100
i. If you want to make friends with someone around your level it will be a bit more difficult
1. Still doable, but definitely not the majority of players
d. Makes it a lot easier to level up – join events and normally another high level shows up or is already there
i. Esp with Fasnacht
ii. But found this in general
iii. Social probably means easier since everyone else is so stacked today
4. Not a PvP friendly culture
a. Most experience similar to the one in the video..people are just like what
b. But brand new PvP mode in two days
i. But old characters carry over…may be a brutal experience
