Annapolis greets us after our 31 hour journey with a jarring reminder that things can wrong whenever they want and that the universe does not care that you are exhausted! Just as we get to our destination and try to moor, our engine dies and leaves us next to two anchored sailboats and shore to fend for ourselves. We use the little knowledge and experience we have to get ourselves out of trouble and spend our first week troubleshooting the issues. But all is not sad as we welcome one of the biggest additions to our sailboat to date, a Washing Machine!! Will this give us that little bit more freedom from land that we need to stay out on anchor longer?
