Reptiles vs. Amphibians: What's the Difference?

Описание: While reptiles and amphibians are often studied together, they can be tricky to tell apart. This video explains the differences and similarities between reptiles and amphibians, as well as exploring the concept of adaptation.

This is the second video in the HerpetologyMe series, which is designed to directly tie North Carolina 4th Grade Essential Science standards to concepts in herpetology. This video addresses the following standard:

LS.4.1.1 Understand the effects of environmental changes, adaptations, and behaviors that enable organisms to survive in changing habitats.

This series serves as a companion to the HerpetologyMe curriculum, which will be made available as a free to use resource for educators in May 2025. The curriculum includes everything an instructor needs to teach learning standards LS.4.3.1, ESS.4.3.1, and ESS.4.3.3.

Most wild animals can cause injury if harassed, and I do not recommend attempting to capture any creatures without purpose and practice. The reason that I interact with wildlife is to produce these educational videos, and I am a professional biologist.
