International Atomic Energy Agency Confirms Damage at Iran’s Natanz Nuclear Plant

Описание: The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has confirmed that satellite images show fresh damage to entrance buildings at Iran’s underground Natanz fuel enrichment plant.

However, the agency said it does not expect any radiological consequences and no unusual rise in radiation levels has been detected in Iran’s neighboring countries.

Iran’s envoy Reza Najafi accused Israel of directly targeting nuclear facilities and warned of serious consequences. Iranian media also reported loud explosions near Natanz and an airbase in Isfahan.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump said that Iran will never be allowed to have nuclear weapons, calling it an intolerable threat.

The Natanz facility has long been at the center of global concerns over Iran’s nuclear programme.
