Описание: In the first episode of ‘Bad Movie Bad Review Interviews’, BMBR sits down with Wakaliwood’s Alan Hofmanis, a man who has dedicated his life to helping bring the incredible low budget Ugandan action movies of Isaac Godfrey Geoffrey Nabwana (Nabwana IGG), and his production studio Ramon Film Productions, to the attention of the wider world. Alan describes to us how he began his incredible journey to becoming a Ugandan action movie star, and how, through his friendship with Isaac, he has both co-produced and starred in Isaac’s movies. We also learn the history of Isaac’s love of both the action movie genre and of Chinese Kung Fu, and of how Isaac’s passionate filmmaking has affected the lives of many other talented individuals living in the slums of Kampala.

The first ever film from Ramon Film Productions to be released to a wider western audience was the explosively energetic Who Killed Captain Alex, a film that Alan himself helped turn into a worldwide phenomenon. In this interview we find out how the film started off with humble beginnings in the ghettos of Wakaliga, yet following its free release on YouTube, would take the world by storm. Their next major worldwide release Bad Black features a starring role from Alan, and in this interview we find out the background of how this film was envisaged and produced, as well as what plans are in store for the future.
