Bio: Hilal Rakıcı is an experienced QA Director in Turkey, with over 13 years of dedicated experience in the quality assurance field. I have built my career focusing solely on QA, which has allowed me to develop deep expertise in quality assurance, Agile methodologies, and digital transformation. Over the years, I've faced countless challenges in the tech industry, gaining in-depth knowledge of both the technical and strategic aspects of QA. I've had the privilege of building QA teams from the ground up, creating strong, collaborative cultures that emphasize continuous improvement and excellence. In addition to leading teams, I've successfully implemented transformation processes for several organizations, helping them adopt modern QA practices, integrate cutting-edge tools like AWS into continuous testing, and optimize their CI/CD pipelines to improve efficiency and speed. Throughout my career, I've worked across diverse sectors, including telecommunications, e-commerce, payment infrastructure, banking, and aviation, tailoring QA strategies to meet the unique needs of each industry. This breadth of experience enables me to bring a well-rounded, adaptable approach to solving complex challenges across multiple domains. My work goes beyond just creating and optimizing QA processes—it's about instilling a culture of quality that empowers teams to collaborate, innovate, and deliver top-tier software consistently. In addition to my industry experience, I'm also an academic, teaching and mentoring the next generation of QA professionals at Bahçeşehir University and Marmara university.
