• Use the Over-Under Technique: This alternating loop method prevents twists and kinks, keeping the cable’s internal structure intact.
• Avoid Tight Bends: SMPTE 311 fiber has a minimum bend radius—keep loops loose to prevent micro-fractures in the fiber.
• Secure with Soft Straps: Use Velcro or soft cable ties instead of hard plastic to avoid pinching or crushing the jacket.
• Keep Connectors Protected: Always cap or cover the ST/LC or hybrid connectors to keep dust and debris out.
