In observance of National First-Generation Celebration, Marshall University SSS TRIO, WV GEAR UP, Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, and University Communications collaborated to celebrate our first-generation students and to share the stories that highlight what it means to be a first-generation student. Marshall University staff and faculty have a long-standing history of supporting fist-generation students through their college journey. Today, we celebrate stories of success knowing Marshall University is abound with first-generation faculty and staff that understand the first-generation struggle and dedicate their lives to watching first-gen student success come to life.
