EL AL Boeing 707-300 taking off from TLV on a scheduled flight to Madrid, Spain.
The flight takes about 5 hours.
The scenery was great, especially the Greek islands, Corsica and Sardegna in the Mediterranean.
EL AL had at that time and all-Boeing fleet composed by 707-300s, 737-200s, 767-200s and 747-200s. The interior featured a colorful scheme that made up for a nice atmosphere inside the airplane.
A TWA Boeing 747-100, apparently operating for EL AL can be seen on the tarmac.
The 707 was (and still is) an amazing aircraft. The PW-JT3D engines spool up sound during takeoff was very distinctive and loud as well.
EL AL is considered one of the safest (if not the most) airline. They have a very rigorous luggage screening process and also they were the first airline to introduce the double cockpit door, lately adopted by many airlines after 9/11.
