Summer is the time for fireworks - and yukata fashion - in Japan. There are many hanabi events around Tokyo and the rest of the country. One of the most famous and biggest fireworks events in Japan every year is the Nagaoka Fireworks Festival in Niigata Prefecture - about two hours from Tokyo. This fireworks festival started in 1879 and is one of Japan's top three hanabi celebrations every year.
Rikarin went to the Nagaoka Festival this year. Check out her video of the pretty fireworks - and the pretty yukata that Japanese people traditionally wear to summer festivals.
