Got Ramogi (Ramogi Hills) is the first place and point where Ramogi Ajwang', the father of the Luo nation, settled in 1425 AD after the Nilotic Luo dispersed from Pubungu- Pakwach in Uganda, during their migration from southern Sudan. Ramogi himself was a great warrior with supermagical powers to boot.
It is a sacred forest and historical site in Kenya. The forest is named after Ramogi, the forefather of the Luo people.
