Old Goa Police have registered a case after a 49-year-old woman died in a road accident involving two scooters and an electric vehicle at Baiguinim in Old Goa.

According to police, the incident occurred on June 1 when a scooter rider allegedly made a sudden turn, triggering a chain-reaction collision involving multiple vehicles.

The victim, who was travelling as a pillion rider, fell onto the road and sustained severe head injuries after being hit by an oncoming electric scooter.

She was declared dead while being shifted to the hospital. Another rider sustained injuries in the incident and is undergoing treatment.

Police have registered the case and further investigation is in progress to determine the exact sequence of events.
