Описание: Lent is a season of fasting and prayer, and often a challenging time. The year 2020, however, has been particularly challenging with the pandemic affecting everyone's life, inside and outside the monastery. This video takes Lenten Sext, which is somewhat melancholy to begin with, and places it in the context of what the lockdown looks like here at Gethsemani. The psalms we sing at Sext on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday are 128, 129 and 130 (or 129, 130 and 131 in most bibles). Psalm 129 / 130 is especially appropriate for Lent - "Out of the depths I cry to you O Lord."
