Is Myanmar ready for the Fourth Industrial Revolution? At this critical time in Myanmar's political and economic history, how can we prepare ourselves for leapfrogging? Aung Naing Oo talks about how a STEM education that is accessible to all is one of the best ways to make sure Myanmar doesn't fall behind in a world where technological advancements are improving at an exponential speed. Aung Naing Oo is the CoFounder and Director at Myanmar STEM Education Association (MSEA), a social enterprise which works with schools, universities, and educators, to provide excellent and affordable Science and Technology lessons to Myanmar public schools. This is being done with the aim of helping learners develop creative, critical thinking and hands-on skills.
He also works as a Director at Engineering For Kids Myanmar, a well-known STEM school in Myanmar. Aung loves to inspire kids and, at the same time, loves to learn from kids. He is a firm believer that Myanmar kids have the potential to excel in Science and Technology, and via Innovation, contributing to national development and economic growth when they grow up. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
