Meanwhile, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed it had targeted the headquarters of the U.S. Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain and another regional location, describing the attack as retaliation for a U.S. strike on an oil tanker attempting to reach Iran despite Washington's blockade. Tehran warned that any future action against it would be met with a "more severe" response, underscoring the growing tensions despite an existing U.S.-Iran ceasefire.
