Soft & Healthy Wheat Bread at Home | Homemade Atta Bread Recipe
Today I’m sharing a soft and healthy wheat bread recipe that you can easily make at home.
This atta bread is perfect for breakfast, sandwiches, toast, and kids’ tiffin.
This wheat bread turns out very soft, fluffy, and healthy.
It is a beginner-friendly recipe and does not require any machine.
Ingredients :
Wheat flour (Atta) – 2 cups
Instant dry yeast – 1 tbsp
Milk Powder - 1 tbsp
Sugar – 1 tbsp
Salt – ½ tsp
Oil / Melted butter – 2 tbsp
Lukewarm water / Milk – 1 cup (approx)
👩🍳 Method:
Add sugar and yeast to lukewarm water/milk and mix well. Rest for 10 minutes until the yeast activates and becomes frothy.
In a bowl, mix wheat flour, Milk Powder and salt.
Add the activated yeast mixture.
Knead into a soft dough.
Knead the dough for 10–12 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it proof in a warm place for 1–1.5 hours or until doubled in size.
Punch down the dough, shape it, and place it in a greased loaf tin.
Cover and let it proof again for 30–40 minutes.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 30–35 minutes.
Brush butter on top immediately after baking. Let it rest in the tin for 10–15 minutes, then demould and cool completely before slicing.
