How to Screen for Stocks to Day Trade in 2019

In this video, I teach you how to screen for stocks that have just reported earnings. I like to use StockTwits.com and TradingView.com to find these stocks and build my watch list. Then when the market opens, I watch how each stock trades for the first 15 minutes, and then use that information to determine my entry point.

I usually set my stop loss at the low of the first 15 minute candlestick, and then hold the stock until close to the market close. In this way, we can ride along with bigger market participants who move the stock as they adjust their positions.

A stock that gaps up a lot on an earnings surprise has a tendency to continue to move in that direction throughout the day.

Remember to always trade with a stop loss.
