Hike to Schrecksee through Vilsalpsee and Traualpsee - Tyrol and Bavaria

Описание: Video of the hike to Schrecksee, an Alpine lake in Bavaria situated at an altitude of 1813 metres in the Allgäu region. It lies just a few metres from the border with the Austrian region of Tyrol and is famous for its scenic little island in the middle of the lake. Although the quickest way to reach it is from the Bavarian town of Hinterstein, I chose to start from Tannheim in Austria in order to visit the Vilsalpsee and Traualpsee lakes, passing by the Obere Traualpe and Landsberger Huts and the Lachenjoch and Kirchdachsattel passes, the latter located just above the Schrecksee and marking the border between Austria and Germany. The loop tour then continues via the Jubiläumsweg path, the Hintere Schafwanne pass, from where there is a magnificent view of Schrecksee and Vilsapsee, and the Vilsalpe hut back to the Gasthaus Vilsaplsee, from where you follow the outward path back to the car. The hike covers approximately 30 km and a total of 1400 metres elevation gain.

Video dell'escursione allo Schrecksee, lago alpino della Baviera situato a 1813 metri di altitudine nella zona dell'Algovia (Allgäu). Si trova a pochissimi metri dal confine con la regione austriaca del Tirolo ed è famoso per la scenografica isoletta nel mezzo del lago. Sebbene la via più veloce per raggiungerlo parte dal paese bavarese di Hinterstein, ho scelto di partire da Tannheim, in Austria per poter visitare i laghi Vilsalpsee e Traualpsee, passando per i rifugi Obere Traualpe e Landsberger Hütte e per i passi Lachenjoch e Kirchdachsattel, quest'ultimo situato proprio sopra lo Schrecksee e che segna il confine tra Austria e Germania. Il giro ad anello continua poi attraverso il sentiero Jubiläumsweg, la forcella Hintere Schafwanne, dalla quale si ha una magnifica vista su Schrecksee e Vilsapsee, e il rifugio Vilsalpe per tornare al Gasthaus Vilsaplsee, da dove percorrendo il sentiero dell'andata si torna alla macchina. L'escursione prevede circa 30 km e un totale di 1400 metri di dislivello.

Video des Ausflugs zum Schrecksee, einem Alpensee in Bayern, der auf einer Höhe von 1813 Metern im Allgäu liegt. Er liegt nur wenige Meter von der Grenze zum österreichischen Bundesland Tirol entfernt und ist berühmt für seine malerische kleine Insel in der Mitte des Sees. Obwohl der schnellste Weg dorthin vom bayerischen Hinterstein aus führt, entschied ich mich, von Tannheim in Österreich aus zu starten, um den Vilsalpsee und den Traualpsee zu besuchen. Dabei passiere ich die Obere Traualpe und die Landsberger Hütte sowie das Lachenjoch und den Kirchdachsattel, letzterer liegt direkt über dem Schrecksee und markiert die Grenze zwischen Österreich und Deutschland. Die Rundtour führt dann weiter über den Jubiläumsweg, die Hintere Schafwanne, von der man einen herrlichen Blick auf den Schrecksee und den Vilsapsee hat, und die Vilsalpe zurück zum Gasthaus Vilsaplsee, von wo aus man den Hinweg zurück zum Auto nimmt. Die Wanderung umfasst ca. 30 km und insgesamt 1400 Höhenmeter.
