In Star Trek lore, we learn that contemporary humanoid life in the Milky Way Galaxy is descended from a genetic code spread by the Ancient Humanoids, or Progenitors, who lived 4.5 billion years ago. Some have tried to make a connection between the Preservers and the Progenitors, the former being another ancient race mentioned in The Original Series. In this video I investigate both species' histories and whether there's enough evidence to conclude they're one and the same.
