Scientists from Schmidt Ocean have been exploring four unchartered underwater canyons and 20 methane seeps along a previously unexplored stretch of the Chilean coastline. Their survey has unveiled a stunning array of deep-sea life, including vibrant octopuses, creepy deep-sea anglerfish, cusk eels, unusual crustaceans, and delicate nudibranchs. Some of these remarkable creatures may be entirely new to science, never before documented.
