You know, one of the most mysterious times in all of Naruto has been and still remains the warring states period. A time when the entire world was at war, yet no Hidden Villages existed. For all intents and purposes, the Warring States Period was World War Zero. It was the era that not only seeded the formation of the Villages, but it also was the era that seeded the slowly evolving hatred that would eventually lead to the First Shinobi World War after a brief era of peace. But among all of the war and fighting, we see nothing but anger, hatred and death. The entire world set afire with an ancient curse set down by those who came before, the Otsutsuki. So let’s stop for a moment and imagine a world where Naruto was born just a little earlier. It is known that the Uzumaki are cousins of the Senju, and it is very likely that Naruto’s genes trace all the way back to the Senju. So for a moment, let’s assume Naruto is born in this era, let’s see how it goes…
