Here's a mouthwatering recipe for Bangladeshi wedding special Beef Jali Kabab recipe:
Ingredients:
500 grams minced meat (beef)
1 tablespoon ginger paste
1 tablespoon garlic paste
1 tablespoon raw papaya paste (for tenderizing the meat)
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
2 tablespoons melted ghee or clarified butter
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
For the Jali (Net):
1 Large Egg
1/2 teaspoon salt
For Garnish:
Chopped coriander leaves
Chopped mint leaves
Onion rings
Instructions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, add the minced meat, ginger paste, garlic paste, raw papaya paste, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, black pepper powder,, melted ghee, and salt. Mix everything together thoroughly.
2. Cover the bowl and let the meat marinate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight in the refrigerator. This will allow the flavors to blend and tenderize the meat.
3. In the meantime, prepare the jali (net). In a separate bowl, take the egg and salt to make a smooth batter. The consistency should be thin and pourable. Set the batter aside.
4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan or kadai over medium heat.
5. Take a portion of the marinated meat mixture and shape it into a small round patty. Place it on a greased surface.
6. Dip a small piece of cloth or a piece of jali (net) into the batter, ensuring it is completely coated.
7. Place the coated cloth or jali over the meat patty, gently pressing it down to create a net-like pattern. Carefully remove the cloth or jali, leaving the net pattern on the kabab.
8. Carefully lift the kabab with the net pattern and carefully slide it into the hot oil for frying. Fry until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain excess oil on a paper towel. Repeat the process with the remaining meat mixture.
9. Once all the kababs are fried, garnish them with chopped coriander leaves, mint leaves, and onion rings. Serve hot with Polao/ Naan/ Parata.
These delicious Jali Kababs are a perfect addition to any Bangladeshi wedding feast. Enjoy them with mint chutney or yogurt raita for a delightful culinary experience!
