BRITISH FOLKLORE STORIES - The White Ladies of Godley Green 👻 Legends of Longdendale - Polterhikes

Описание: I'm back with a new Polterhike! I've had an abundance of distractions keeping me from finishing the Godley Green Ghosts, once and for all. But this is part 3 of 4.
This time it's the White Lady of Godley Green! Or more accurately... The White Ladies. When I mention to people in the Godley area that I'm doing these videos based on the ghosts. They always mention 'The White Lady'. But nobody seems to know it as one specific story. So I've decided to pull together three separate stories I've come across in my research.

Three unfortunate tales, of possibly three separate spectre women, that haunt the lanes of Godley Green, at the very edge of Greater Manchester.
As usual I've gone for a scenic walk in the lovely countryside of this secluded spot, once known as part of Longdendale. With two stories taken from 'The Legends of Longdendale' book - by local author Thomas Middleton. As well as an additional grim tale that I picked up courtesy of a chap named Mark Ridgeway, a local historian who does very fine work preserving the history of Hyde and it's smaller towns/villages.

So if you're in the mood for some paranormal tales, with lovely views! And you have a thirst for local legends and folklore. Then you've come to the right place. Come for a walk around ancient Godley Green and I'll tell you a few stories.

Unfortunately, the Green has recently been 'selected' for a large housing development to be built over it's entirety, being not-ironically named; 'Godley Green Garden Village'... so before the bulldozers arrive and the woodland gets the chop, I decided to make this long-put-off set of videos based on the legends within this small haven. So here's part three of 'The Ghosts of Godley Green'. I hope you enjoy it!
