Gopi Dutt Aakash: Environmental and Social Entrepreneur-
Gopi Dutt Akash was born inside the Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
Anandamayi Ma and Thakur Sitaramdas Omkarnath were present in the temple at the time, and the day was Dhanteras in 1965.

Role: President of the Youth Fraternity Foundation (YFF), an NGO based in India.
Core Focus: Addressing environmental and civic issues, particularly those stemming from religious practices and waste management.
Flagship Project: Pushpanjali Prawaha Amrit Kalash .

YFF has formulated the project ‘Pushpanjali Parwaha Kalash’
which gives alternative to dispose Worship Materials in following ways-
(a) Collecting flowers and other worship- materials from different places like temples, mosque, churches, gurudwaras, colonies, bridges, banks of rivers, yagna, political gathering etc. and,
(b) Segregate these materials in bio degradable and non-bio degradable waste. Biodegradable waste will be turned into compost and the rest will be recycled.

Pushpanjali Prawah Kalash is a unique and important way to collect religious materials which are one of the major cause of concerns of river pollution in our country.

Devotees immerse lakhs of kilograms of worship materials into the rivers and other water bodies which is the major cause of water pollution. This can be controlled with the help of Pushpanjali Prawah Kalash as these religious materials will be collected and recycled by it afterwards. This will also help in spreading the message of recycling of worship materials. It will be a pilot project in Delhi and can be continued at different location in the India so as to reduce water pollution and garbage production.

1, Employment opportunity for 2,50,000 (all over India) will be available out of which 50%beneficiaries can be women.
2, Free Education and better employment opportunities for orphans, rag pickers, women and senior citizen.
3, The most important thing is that in view of NGT order people has an option (Pushpanjali Prawah Kalash) where they can dump the religious material throughout the year rather than dumping it into holly Yamuna.
4, PPK is very unique solution to problem of immersion of ceremonial items, it needs only one-time investment and the system is simple to run.
5, Government’s campaigns like Clean India, Nirmal Ganga, employment for Youths, Smart City, women empowerment etc. are closely related to PPK.
Recycling of Worship materials:
I. Worship materials contains plastics, poly bags, papers etc. these materials can be given to scrap collector.
II. Deity idols which are not in bad condition can be re-sold after some finishing touches.
III. Holy books which will be in good condition will be distributed religious gatherings and programs. The distributor will get remuneration from Devotees.

Important raw materials:
I. Need of fresh flowers (within 24 hours) to recycle it.
II. During collection we are getting 13 percent of flowers (mostly marigold and roses) and 87 percentage of garbage.
III. Worship material contains different flowers which have different uses.
