In this video, I explained how to analyze the mapping of a function using a simple MAT 101 example.
We are given two sets
A = {−2, 0, 2} and B = {2, 6},
with a function defined by
f(t) = t² + 2.
In the video, you will learn:
How to find the image of each element in a set
What it means for a function to be many-to-one
What it means for a function to be onto (surjective)
The difference between many-to-one and onto
Common mistakes students make in function mapping
This lesson is very useful for MAT 101 students, first-year university students, and anyone learning set theory and functions.
📌 Watch till the end to fully understand mapping of functions.
