The No. 2 seed West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats (18–6, 15–5 MEC) face the No. 7 seed Frostburg State Bobcats (14–14, 9–11 MEC) in the opening quarterfinal of the 2026 Mountain East Conference Women’s Basketball Tournament on Thursday, March 5 at noon inside WesBanco Arena. West Virginia Wesleyan enters the matchup riding strong momentum after closing the regular season with a dominant 78–32 win over Davis & Elkins College, while Frostburg State advanced to the quarterfinal round with a first-round victory over Point Park University.
