But what makes Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze really stand out for me, is how every stage of the game is designed with speed in mind. No matter how fast Donkey Kong wants to go, he will always find something in the levels that helps him to go fast. Retro Studio crafted the game with specific speed-paths in mind because they added a time-attack mode to the game, and while the time-attack mode in Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze is a blast to play, these speed-paths make the overall game better, whether donkey kong tries to speedrun them or not!
