Hi guys, how are you?back again on my youtube channel. I greet you from one of the spiritual tourist destinations called Gunung Kawi Sebatu Temple. Gunung Kawi Temple is located in Sebatu Village, Tampaksiring District, Gianyar. and is approximately 55 km from Denpasar City. This place has been visited by tourists since the 1970s.
Gunung Kawi Sebatu Temple is estimated to have been built in 1300 AD to 1500 AD. According to history, Gunung Kawi Sebatu Temple was founded as a place of worship of Lord Vishnu on the orders of Rishi Markandeya.
The name Sebatu is associated with the unique history of Maya Denawa, an administrative despot in Bali hundreds of years ago. At that time his foot slipped on a rock and that is how the word Sebatu came to be and is still used today.
