The GREAT Program is built around school-based, law enforcement officer-instructed classroom curricula. It provides a continuum of components for children and their families. LMPD's Community Engagement Officer Charles Bradley recently spent six weeks teaching G.R.E.A.T. to the Fifth Graders of Jefferson County Public Schools Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School. These small classroom settings allow us the opportunity to get to know the children we are teaching and mentoring. The staff of King was wonderful to work and these settings allow us to build a friendship that will last a lifetime.
