Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at this replacement shank for your Swagman Trailhead Series Bike Carriers. So, this is going to replace the 1 1/4 inch shank on your Trailhead Series Bike Rack and on your screen, I am including the specific model numbers for that bike rack that this is going to fit and work with. And as you can see, this does come with an adapter sleeve so that the bike carrier can also be used in your two-inch trailer hitch receiver. And this does include the threaded hitch pin and clip to secure the bicycle rack to the trailer hitch receiver.

So as you can see, the hole there is threaded, so you'll just slide this into your trailer hitch receiver, thread this pin through, and then give it the additional security of that clip. Now, you will need to pick up an Allen wrench if you don't already have one. If you want to remove this adapter, an Allen wrench is not included for the removal or the installation of the sleeve on the shank. This is a heavy-duty, solid steel construction, so it's gonna hold up really well for you. This is a replacement directly from Swagman, so you can trust that this is going to work just like that original one.
