I recorded what happened but lost the footage - due to pain and swelling and getting directions confused I over did myself on walking and was in a lot of pain on top of caring for Eli's very odd sickness.
The staff at guest services neglected to inform me that I would need to go to a certain spot to register to take the shuttle to the pier and I didn't know we both needed our room cards. I thought having both our passports was what we needed to get off and back on.
by the time I reached the registration location I was done for. that's when I was informed I would need to go to the room or guest services to retrieve the other card. I could not do that, go back to registration then proceed to go to the location to get off the boat. It was then we decided to have a ship day and I broke down feeling like a horrible mom.
Eli was so sweet and so kind. He gave me a lot of hugs and shoulder pats while reassuring me I'm the bestest mom he's ever had and it's ok he couldn't go to the beach because he wants to go swimming too.
we made our way to the pool where he had the time of his life. all was okay after we ate lunch and got rid of hanger pains too.
