Here we have 2020 Nova Bus LFS SmartBus Hybrid 9911 operating on the Bx3 Bus at Broadway & West 238th Street in Kingsbridge, The Bronx, New York.
This unit was originally brought to the city back in 2020 as the pilot unit of the Nova Bus LFS Hybrid order placed the year prior. The production units would be delivered between 2021-2023, with the pilot unit being sent back to Nova Bus. Fast forward five years, this unit would be bought by the MTA along with another pilot unit that was never delivered. Both buses were the original 9620 & 9621 but were given the numbers 9911 & 9912 instead.
