Learn how to correctly perform a bump test on the ION Science® FALCO® 2 fixed VOC gas detector in this step-by-step video tutorial.
In this video, we demonstrate how to use a 50 ppm calibration gas to verify the performance and response of the FALCO 2 fixed PID monitor. After attaching and activating the 50 ppm gas bottle, the detector reading will begin to rise and reach the target concentration within 2 minutes.
The FALCO 2 offers high accuracy, reading within ±5% of the applied gas concentration. For example, when using a 50 ppm gas, the detector should display a value between 47.5 and 52.5 ppm. Once the gas is disconnected and the bottle is turned off, the reading will return to baseline after approximately 2 minutes.
⚠️ Always ensure you are using the correct calibration gas for your specific instrument.
This tutorial is ideal for operators and safety professionals working with fixed VOC detection systems in industrial and environmental applications.
Key features covered:
• Fixed PID monitor
• Fixed photoionisation detector (PID)
