In this video, I draw a realistic graphite portrait of a smiling woman, focusing on expression, contrast, and subtle shading.
This timelapse was drawn using the grid method and limited to B and 6B pencils only, forcing me to rely more on darker values rather than lighter construction.
Restricting the pencil range made this a useful study in control, pressure, and value balance.
