Описание: Hello everyone- I’ve been doing check rides and also training some First officers upgrading to Captain in the simulator the last two days. I have more the next three days. As usual, after completing and passing his proficiency check, Senior First Officer Stuart.C. (Who had also been away for some vacation for some weeks), asked to practice a strong crosswind landing. The airport was Boston, Logan international airport runway 33L. I told him the wind was 060/18-20 knots but quietly increased it to 25 knots with gusts to 30 knots. He accepted to have some turbulence which I started at moderate but increased it to severe approaching the minimums. When he exhales after we stop, it really can be like that- a fight with the wind sometimes at some airports.
