How to install a GoPower TS-30 Automatic Transfer Switch

Описание: I didn't like the idea of having to use separate AC outlets than the existing ones that came with my van for when on shore power so I looked for a solution.

This automatic transfer switch is exactly what I needed. To install it, I had to route my existing shore power line AND a line coming from my inverter into this transfer switch, and then connect the switch to my AC breaker panel.

A note on transfer switch logic:

When the shore power is applied the relay is at rest and power is transferred to the panel.

When Generator/Inverter power is applied there is a 20-45 second delay and then the relay activates transferring Generator power to the panel.

If shore power returns while the Gen power is present nothing will happen.

When the Gen power is removed the relay will drop out and allow the shore side to supply power.

Generator overrides shore power.

Because of that logic, after I recorded the video I swapped the leads so that shore power had priority. It actually discusses this in the manual but I never received a manual from Amazon so it didn't cross my mind. If you are going to swap them as well, make sure to swap the actual connectors (where your incoming wire meets the existing wires). Don't try to swap the actual screws on the transfer switch, as those have existing small wires for the onboard computer chip.
