Описание: A P-N junction diode is a fundamental two-terminal semiconductor device formed by joining p-type (hole-rich) and n-type (electron-rich) materials, acting as a one-way gate for electric current, allowing flow in the forward direction (P to N) and blocking it in the reverse direction. This one-way conductivity arises from the creation of a depletion region at the junction where electrons and holes recombine, establishing a potential barrier that controls current flow under applied voltage (forward or reverse bias).
