Watch this video to see a historic mill in action. Corie and I had a great time watching Joe and Clay make cornmeal. Corie even pitched in to help!
Here's the cornbread recipe Clay mentioned.
1 cup fresh ground cornmeal
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup buttermilk (may take a little more depending on how you like your batter)
1 egg
Mix well and pour into heated greased cast iron and bake at 425 degrees for 25-30 minutes or till done.
