Following his keynote address at GNSI Tampa Summit 2: The Future and Ethics of Uncrewed and Autonomous Warfare, Major General (Ret) Charles Dunlap Jr sat down with GNSI to discuss the ethical challenges unique to the ever-growing use of those weapons systems. Dunlap is the Executive Director of the Center on Law, Ethics and National Security at Duke University. He's the former Deputy Judge Advocate General for the United States Air Force.
Dunlap talks about the international laws of war, how well-intentioned rules and laws have unexpected results, as well as the potential path forward with the new, ever-expanding technologies.
