Tonight, as the two best teams in the NHL met up 13 years after that infamous 2011 Stanley Cup Final series, it was a game I was excited to watch. The Vancouver Canucks were looking to secure a 13 game point streak first time since 2011-12. An 8 game point streak on the road for the first time since 2010-2011and Thatcher Demko was trying to extend his streak to 10 to set the franchise record. In other words, plenty for the Boston Bruins to play spoiler to and top of it during the All Star break, you probably saw this clip of Jeremy Swaymen getting hugs from the goalies. All except one, Thatcher Demko left him hanging. Well some suggested (in fun of course) that the Bruins may have taken it personally and with the beating they put on the Canucks tonight, it sure seemed that way. They scored not 1 but 2 short-handed goals with Brad Marchand getting it started. This was the 3rd straight game where the Canucks gave up a short handed goal to start the night.
