In order to save power and the planet, I built this RaspberryPi to act as a remote power button for my Synology Server! The light turns green when the server is on, the red button can be used to turn it off, and the blue button can be used to turn it back on. This ultra simple design will make it easier to notice if a server is on when it doesn't need to be, and then to quickly turn it off. This configuration works with any linux server that supports wake on LAN. This video is the overview for the project, and in the next one I am going to give an in depth tutorial on how to build one for yourself!
