Temperature measurement on food production lines plays an important role in maintaining consistent product quality and safety. In this video, we look at how non-contact infrared (IR) sensors can provide a hygienic and reliable alternative to traditional contact probes. We introduce two solutions from Calex: the PyroCouple, an economical IR sensor with analogue voltage or thermocouple output that is ideal for measuring the surface temperature of food products, and the PyroMiniBus, which features RS-485 Modbus communication and configurable settings for monitoring multiple production lines.
