Why does it take so long to make a video game?
And how long will it take YOU to make your own indie game?
That's the two questions I want to answer in this video.
Usually the development time ends up being a lot longer than you think. When you add up all of the hours for coding, creating art, playtesting, fixing bugs, coming up with game mechanics as well as creating the sounds and the music, you'll quickly see that you're in for quite a ride.
Run the math, don't over scope, be careful about feature creep and get organized. That's the only way to make sure your'll finish your game in a reasonable amount of time! Good luck.
