CRISPY GUJARATI HANDVO BITES

These mini delights are packed with protein, veggies, and all the spices that make Gujarati cuisine so special! Made in an Appe pan with just a few drops of oil, they make for the perfect healthy snack. Whether you enjoy them at tea time or pack them in your tiffin, they’re sure to satisfy your cravings! 💚
*✨ Ingredients to Get You Started:*
1/2 cup Chana Dal
1/4 cup Urad Dal
1/2 cup Rice
2 spoon Water
2 tbs Curd
Salt as per taste
Finely chopped 2-3 Green Chilies
Finely chopped 3 Garlic Cloves
1/2 spoon Asafoetida Powder
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
2 tsp Coriander Seeds Powder
1 tsp Jaggery
1/2 Lemon Juice
Grated Bottle Gourd and Carrot
Finely chopped Onion and Coriander
Boiled Sweetcorn (optional)
1 small packet Eno (Fruit Salt)
Oil
White Sesame Seeds
Few Curry Leaves
*🌀 Method:*
1. Blend the soaked dal and rice with a bit of water for the perfect batter.
2. Mix in spices, veggies, and don’t forget that Eno for the fluffy texture!
Immediately mix.
3. Cook in an Appe pan with a few drops of oil, sesame seeds, and curry leaves for that authentic touch. Cover with lid and hile cooking.
4. Serve hot with a side of green coriander chutney for the ultimate experience! 🌶️
