The Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon 'SIX The Musical' will take the stage at Segerstrom Center for the Arts for a one-week run March 10–15, bringing its high-energy remix of royal history to local audiences immediately after its engagement at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre.

In the global hit musical, the six wives of Henry VIII reclaim their stories, turning centuries of heartbreak into a pop-concert style celebration of female empowerment. Each queen steps to the mic to share her side of the story in a show that blends Tudor history with 21st century pop spectacle.

Among them is Tasia Jungbauer as Catherine Parr, the sixth wife of Henry VIII and notably a woman who had four husbands in her lifetime, with the infamous king as her third. Parr is often remembered as the survivor of the group, outliving Henry and helping shape the legacy of his children.

Jungbauer, a Seattle, WA original, chats with me as we preview the production and her role in the electrifying experience. During our conversation we also detour briefly from Tudor history to a very Pacific Northwest versus Southern California debate: the better burger, Dick's Drive‑In or In‑N‑Out Burger. Since premiering, 'SIX' has become a global phenomenon, earning 23 awards during the 2021–2022 Broadway season including the Tony Award for Best Original Score.
